About us
Alternative Homes is an innovative company specialized in the creation of sustainable tiny homes, based in the south of Oslo. It was founded by Yohann, a professional woodworker who has a clear vision of living in a tiny house: he wants people to have access to fully customized homes. We help them to transform their dreams and ideas into a comfortable, practical, strong and eco-friendly home.
Yohann started carpentry and fine woodworking in 2006. He learnt all sides of the craft, from structural carpentry to luxury furniture making, while studying in a renowned french woodworking school.
in 2016 he specialized in Tiny Houses, and quickly got hooked to this concept, both for the minimalist lifestyle and the mobility aspect.
Since then, he has built over 30 tiny houses, including his own, in which he has been living for the last 5 years.
